Hot of the Press – A Message from the Chairman
As you will have seen, read and no doubt heard, there are
lots of positive moves ahead to making the Hampshire Shooting Teams a force to
be reckoned with at this years Inter County Competitions representing the
Disciplines of Sporting, Sport Trap, FITASC, Skeet, ABT,
DTL, AR,
OT (Team of 6) and UT (Team of 6).
As Andy had previously mentioned in the “Clay Bustin News” to qualify for a
Hampshire team place is not going to be easy with the teams sent to represent
Hampshire being made up of Members that have registered the highest three scores
out of the last five results. The scores will be on the CPSA registered score
board and the cut off date for selection will be twenty one days prior to an
Inter-County event. This will then allow the County Champion with the help of
the appointed Team Manager to select and invite from those top scores the
members to shoot for Hampshire and receive the coveted Hampshire Shooting Team
vest to keep. I do appreciate that there will probably be members who qualify
for two disciplines and in this instance only one vest will be given.
With the help of the Committee Members, you may have noticed some “Blue Slips”
around the various shooting grounds. Basically, everyone who wishes to be
considered to shoot for Hampshire in the Team Events will need to complete one
of these slips and return it to either the Ground Staff or via email to myself
at
dbennett@bell-group.net It is important that you state your Name, your
CPSA Number, your Telephone Number, your email address and more importantly the
discipline or disciplines that you are interested in being considered for.
I wish each and every one of you good luck in your
shooting and in making the Hampshire Shooting Teams.
